K-5th Grade Program

In our elementary program, families can teach their children at home with the help of a teacher who provides curriculum, online classes, and weekly options to learn and socialize in-person.

Monday through Thursday, every grade has a 30-minute live online class for either math or reading. On Fridays, students can come to our classroom for STEAM class--we focus on art or science projects and engineering fun, along with lunch and time on the playground. We also have monthly field trips for the whole family and interactive workshops.

We also provide lesson plans for additional subjects such as social studies and health. Extra resources can be provided for families that wish to go above and beyond required learning. In-person intervention may be offered for struggling students. 

PTRA elementary students do schoolwork for 3-4 hours each day, depending on grade--30 minutes in online class, 30 minutes for PE, 20 minutes in an online program targeting reading and math skills. The rest of the assignments are in workbooks. Families can create their student's schedule to learn in a way that works best for them.
